This supplemental material for Kernel explores the world high above the forest seen in the Kernel Corebook. No longer shackled to the ground you take on expeditions in the high reaches of the atmosphere. For a tiny mech and its daring pilot, riding the wind is a simple (but terrifying) feat!

Le Rorqual, a new Rig chassis introduced in Skies of Dust 

In Skies of Dust you will gain access to new character options suited for the barren skies and thunderheads. The Rorqual is a more difficult rig focused entirely on cargo hauling and helping your teammates get around, with its impressive Hull of 6 you won't be coming home from the Frozen Pollen Skies empty handed!

In addition to this new class of Rig, anyone can build reputation with the new Nimbus Company. This elusive crew of experimental researchers will give a Rig what it needs to navigate the sky regardless of their inherent ability. Even if you're not fighting in the skies, the Nimbus Company has plenty of tools any pilot can appreciate. 

The Skies of Dust features writing on the world of the sky and what makes it different from ours. While The Forest of Kernel is weird but familiar, the Skies of Above may seem downright alien. Information on the culture, ecosystems, and archaeology of this region is described in fascinating detail. Fans of theoretical biology are sure to enjoy diving into the food chain of giant helium filled jellyfish and the microwhales that prey on them.
